A hydrogel has the additional role of adding moisture to the wound. Moist wound healing acheives the best results - never dry out a wound.
Importantly Microdacyn is non-damaging to our own cells that are involved in healing. Products that contain the ingredients chlorhexidine, hydrogen peroxide or povidone iodine are highly damaging to our cells which can result in stinging as well as slower healing.
Stop using creams for wound care! Did you know guidelines recommend using solutions and hydrogels only. Creams contain many additional ingredients that do not help heal a wound, and can actually slow healing.
